Documents Required for Pan Card:
The applicant has to submit the online application 49 A and submit it. If there are any errors you can edit it and resubmit the form. The application may confirm the application after completion of application a 15 digit acknowledgement number will be generated. You are requested to print this acknowledgement. This acknowledgement will be further used to track the status of your pan so you should keep it with care.
The individuals need to affix two passport size photographs with the acknowledgement. The image should be in the white background (size 3.5 cm x 2.5 cm). The image should not be stapled to it. Left thumb impression or signature is also required while applying for pan card.

2. You also require documents for proof of address which should not be more than three months old. These documents include electricity bill, telephone bill or water bill, gas connection, bank account statement, depository account statement or credit card statement.
3.You also require a photocopy of certain documents which include post office passbook having the address, passport, passport of the spouse, elector’s photo identity card, Domicile certificate issued by the government, radar card issued by unique identification authority of India, accommodation letter issued by the central government or property registration documents.
4. They also require proof of date of birth- the copy of birth certificate issued by a municipal authority, pension payments, and the marriage certificate issued by marriage registrar, matriculation certificate, passport or any document on which your date of birth is mentioned.
